Climate Change Basics, Part 1.

This guy is very reasonable I think and is prepared to look at the facts.
Try thinking about the (unproven) Anthropogenic CO2 causes Global Warming hypothesis before one digests your references, many of which most certainly are based upon the above unproven hypothesis.
I recommend my blog which has something important to say about what our current “climate change” panic/religion/political propaganda is telling us.
It starts off with some well deserved lampooning of political figures but points to some incontrovertible facts which disprove the AGW hypothesis.
However if climate change to you is a faith/hope/relgion you may definitely find it upsetting.
Please feel free to leave a comment either here or on my blog.
I got an answer!
Thank you for the comment. I will check out your blog when I have a little more time on my hands, but I can already tell that I will have to respectfully disagree with your assessment of climate change. I admit to not being overly familiar with the way climate change is presented in the environmental movement, but I can assure you that, while certainly not free from its own sort of bias, climate change is far from what you refer to as a “panic/religion/political propaganda” in the scientific community. I also do not think that just because science involves a fair amount of uncertainty that climate change should be rejected outright.

Thanks for your reply.
When you consider global warming theory, it is important to be aware that the whole thing is based on an unproven hypothesis. There is no fact here and as you will read in IPCC publications, they are careful to steer away from the word
“fact”,instead using phrases like “strongly suggest” and “very certain” etc.
The reason that the “Anthropogenic CO2 causes Global Warming” hypothesis is not proven, is that it is actually impossible to scientifically prove. To prove it would entail reducing world CO2 and seeing if the temperature followed, increasing world CO2 to see if the temperature rose and repeating this at least several times to rule out the possibility of coincidence. Seeing as reducing CO2 emissions will break our economies and cause widespread hardship etc.,this is clearly impossible.
Unfortunately all Global Warming theory depends on this hypothesis being fact.
I hope you vist my blog, as after a little light hearted lampooning of some political figures, it looks at some incontrovertible facts which disprove the Anthropogenic CO2 causes Global Warming hypothesis.
As an economist I am currently preparing another blog which will quantify the effect on our economies and way of life should the IPCC recommendations be followed. So far it dosnt look good and I can tell you that it will be not as simple as a few price rises and extra taxes.
